Staff Biographies
Debie Seiler has her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts degree in Deaf Education. She is currently licensed in the state of Kansas in Early Childhood Handicapped, Elementary Education, and Deaf Education, grades K-12.
Debie has over 25 years of experience teaching and working with Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing children and adults. Among her teaching experiences are Parent - Infant, preschool, Kindergarten, 1st grade, Special Needs, and Deaf-Blind. Debie has also been an Outreach Consultant to public schools and organized workshops for parents. She has worked at State Schools for the Deaf in Nebraska, Illinois, Arkansas, and Kansas, as well as in public and private school settings.
Debie is also a licensed Sign Language Interpreter in the state of Kansas. She interprets in a variety of community, educational, and religious settings. She is a Support Service Provider for Deaf-Blind individuals and is a member of the SSP subcommittee under the Kansas Deaf-Blind Consortium.
Dr. Peter Seiler, a Deaf professional with a BA degree in English and a doctorate in Education Administration, is a licensed teacher of the Deaf in the state of Kansas. He also has a state teacher license for teaching English and reading, Dr. Seiler has taught English and Reading to students in Grades 5 through 12 and college Deaf students. He has provided tutoring in English, reading, social studies, social sciences, and remedial and general math to Deaf adults. Dr. Seiler has served as a consultant to businesses in personnel employment issues involving Deaf employees, Deaf customer satisfaction and services, and modification of the work environment to allow Deaf employees greater access to communication. His 30 plus years of experiences include school administration, college teaching, and teaching and tutoring of American Sign Language.
Peter is a Support Service Provider for Deaf-Blind individuals and a Deaf Interpreter (DI).
